God Prepares You

Last week at youth group, I was leading a discussion on "Bumper Stickers" and how bumper stickers can tell people on the outside of your life something about you...but that bumper sticker doesn't always portray you in the right way, or people can misunderstand it, and so bumper stickers are a surface level descriptor of a part of who you are. We ended up making our own bumper stickers to discuss this whole idea, and before the lesson I made one to use as an example. On mine I put: "Everything Happens for a Reason". I'm sure I've said it before on this thing, but that sentence is something that I have found very true in my life.

This could only prove true for the last little while of life. I think God works on you day by day to make you stronger, and month by month to challenge you to that next level in your faith and in your life...so that when something big happens, all those little challenges prove to have taught you something and then you are prepared for it. Even through the toughness of those big challenges, when you don't feel like you're strong enough to handle it, God is there with you and He knows you can handle it, as He does not put anything in your life that you cannot handle.

I know there's a bible verse somewhere in the massive book that discusses the fact that He will only place things in front of you that you can handle, that there is nothing in life that you cannot handle....wherever it is, that is what I'm trying to quote - and I know it's put much nicer in the Bible, but I can't find it for the life of me...let me know if you do find it (or you know it off by heart!).

Anyway, God has prepared me for everything I do and is continuing preparing me for the future. That is something that I am sure of.
