As I sit here, watching the Olympics, I realize how hard of a time I am having disciplining myself to do what I need to be doing. I've wasted a lot of time this week in front of the television - why are the Olympics so appealing? Plus, all the hype is not even worth it - as we keep getting disappointed by not making the podium when everyone expects us to! I don't really care about whether or not the athletes win, as I am proud of them just for making it! But, the newscasters get our hopes up!
I feel silly talking about this - but my school work and my devotions and my reading the Bible (I'm behind with only 6 days to finish reading the Bible) have been put on the back-burner. I know it's not acceptable, but I sit down in front of the television and don't get things done. In my head I have a time limit, but then exciting things are happening. Ugh. I'm so frustrated with myself. But yet, here I am...blogging...instead of doing something. Okay - I'm off. Hopefully I can get my act together this week, as I am on my last week of teaching and need to read quite a few pages of the Bible to get done on time...yikes!
