Here's the clip: Pat Robertson - Haiti Response
On the flip side, I got an e-mail today regarding a church that I know, and that our church here in Windsor is close to. They were in Haiti when the earthquake hit on a missions trip. I didn't realize how close they were to all of the mayhem, the article brought me to tears. I am thankful that they got home alright, and hope to see them this weekend when we are at their church!
Here's the article: Mission Group in Haiti
Two verses come to mind:
Hebrews 13:5 - "For God has said, 'I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.'"
The next one I have cited a similar one previously (just from 2 Corinthians), but I think is very valid in what is happening around us with the disaster in Haiti:
1 Corinthians 12:6 - "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us."
I love that 1 Corinthians verse Colleen. How powerful and true that we are conduits of comfort to others in trouble. I see your life in that verse too.
ReplyDeleteI think its really funny that I sent you that verse today too. That article was amazing. Praise God for His work and their safety!
