Well, it's been 3 days since my unfortunate event while rearranging my room. My mother thinks I may have cracked a bone and is worried (she has no proof, but she's a nurse so she's allowed to guess my prognosis)...I think I just hit some nerves. If I touch it, my foot feels as if nothing is actually touching it - as if it's numb to the touch. I can't put my full weight on it yet, and it's not such a lovely picture (and yes, I have pictures)...
My foot looks fine when I wake up, except for the big purple birthmark looking thing...but by noon, my whole foot is throbbing and BLUE, since I'm not keeping my foot raised (it's very difficult when you have to sit in stuffed classrooms to find room for an extra chair). As you can see, the bruise has even gone AROUND my foot...crazy!
On a brighter side, I had a wonderful fund raising dinner for my trip to the Czech Republic!! Almost 70 people came out, and people were so incredibly generous. Man, God is so good. When signing up for this mission trip, I was worried that fund raising would take up a lot of my attention, but God has just provided in ways that I never expected...and I am not needing to worry at all! Anyways, I feel I am able to also focus on the other opportunities God has for me, that come before my trip to the Czech Republic...
In just over a week, I'm heading up a March Break Day Camp at my church here in Windsor for a day. Free for 30 kids, and hopefully we will have enough volunteers...still waiting on God to stir people's hearts and provide those who want to serve! I also am in the process of starting to write the curriculum for CBOQ Youth, where I am doing a module on spiritual self-assessment and how you can use yourself and your gifts within the church and in your community. While doing all this, I'm finishing up my classes and have 5 weeks of teaching in a new placement (still have yet to find out where and what grade...) Then there's staff orientation for camp at the beginning of May, and then I'm off to the Czech in 65 days (yes, I do have a countdown calendar on my computer!)

Oh, what an exciting three months coming up - and if you count camp (which I'm totally stoked for already!) I've got an exciting five months ahead of me!! Praise God! 2010 is AWESOME so far!
