Answered Prayer

God has calmed the seas, at least for another month or two.

It seems as if it doesn't rain, it pours. In a matter of 2 or 3 weeks, I had 3 interview inquiries, and 3 job offers - of which, I took two. Unfortunately, they are not teaching jobs, but they are jobs nonetheless to help pay the bills for the next few months.

The first job, of which is my favourite, is at a coffee shop down the street from me. It's owned by a Christian couple and runs out of the bottom of a church (it is not run by the church, the couple rents it from the church). I've worked 7 shifts so far and am absolutely loving it. Since I have worked in a coffee atmosphere before, I caught on quickly to the drinks, and am now trained on the cash (as of today) and next is food. So, lots to learn, but lots of fun. The people are great (I even know some of them from the Christian Fellowship at the University) and the atmosphere is fabulous!

The second job I start on Sunday. Basically I'm working for World Vision for the next 6 months on a mall campaign. We have a booth in the mall and are trying to get people to sign up for child sponsorships. That will be interesting, and I will be relying heavily on God to give me the energy and enthusiasm for a sales job such as that. Hopefully all will go well though :).

So, it is a temporary prayer fix, but I am still constantly looking for teaching jobs and something to use my degree with - although school is getting in the way slightly!!

I'm going to be a busy little bee for the next few weeks!!!!!! AHHHHH!!
