Thank you!

I sent this e-mail out the other day - thought some of you that follow me might want to see it...

Hello again friends, family, and loved ones,

First off, I want to thank all of you for your support, love, words of encouragement, and prayers over the past few months of my life. It has been quite the roller coaster ride, and I know that all of you have helped me in one way or another get through the tough time. So, please accept my most sincere thank you.

I have some great news to share with you. I was blessed to hear back from both schools that I applied to for teaching jobs. I had a wonderful interview in London, but with concern of my position in university and location currently in Windsor, I did not receive the job. Yes, sad news, but also good news as it was a great experience to prepare me for my second interview when I heard back from the school in Windsor (the day I had the interview in London in fact). Yesterday, I was interviewed at Maranatha Christian Academy in Windsor and was offered a job as a supply teacher (or "guest teacher" as the principal there has decided to call supply teachers)!! Today, I gave news of my departure to the daycare, and they offered great support and congratulations (although bittersweet as they would prefer me to stay, of course).

As exciting news as this is, it also brings up other things in my life in which I must rely on God - that He is in control and trust in His will for my life. So, please continue to pray for my situation and the new hurdles which may appear.

We have a loving and gracious Father in heaven, whom I know is watching closely over each and every one of us. Which is why there is no reason to fear for the future, but only to trust that God will bring favour to all those who believe in Him.

As I sat in the interview yesterday, I was looking around the room and a wooden sign stood above the principals filing cabinet. It read "Be still, and know that I am God". Psalm 46:10 - and believe it or not - that is a verse that I (at this point in my life) deem to be my "life verse" as it was given to me when I was 13 years old, and still to this day is the one that constantly reminds me not to be anxious and to believe that God knows what is best for my life.

Blessings to you all.

Lots of love,
Coll
