Child of God

This past week at work has been WILD! The kids have just been off the wall...

I can't remember the exact date that I thought up the theme of this post, but I remember my coworker talking about the kids that she just did not find cute at all (based on their behaviours mostly). It comes up quite often, as we struggle with behaviour issues, and a lot of other stuff in the early years of development.

It got me thinking, because as much as there are attributes of some children that annoy me or frustrate me, I can always say that there is something in each child that is positive, or that I find to be a good behaviour. I don't think there is one child that I completely dislike and would wish never to see again - they are all just too cute for that.

Anyway, back to my point - I got thinking about how God is probably the same way with us. None of us are perfect children. We all have a sinful nature where we are apt to fall. These behaviours and attitudes and mistakes must annoy and frustrate God in some sense (maybe not the right words to use, but you get the idea), but yet He still loves us the same and knows that there are good qualities about us.

I hope this all makes sense. I was just thinking about it while rubbing children's back to get them to sleep, and it comforted me to know that through all my stubbornness, anxiousness, and I'm sure many other negative qualities I hold - God still loves me for those things as well as the things that make Him proud and happy. No matter what I do, I am a child of God and I can rest easy in that fact.
